Documentation:<\/h2>\n

A valid passport is required for entry into Tanzania. Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months after the end of your planned trip.<\/p>\n

Please check with your departure country for visa requirements. Visas can be obtained at all points of entry and at the Embassies.<\/p>\n

Vaccinations:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

It is recommended that you make sure all your routine vaccinations are up to date.\u00a0 Hepatitis A and Typhoid vaccinations are also recommended.\u00a0 Malaria prevention is recommended if you plan to visit areas of Tanzania below 1800m above sea level, for example, Rubondo Island National Park in western Tanzania.<\/p>\n

Luggage:<\/h2>\n

Hard case and wheeled luggage are not recommended for your safari.\u00a0 We recommend a soft bag weighing a maximum of 10-15kg per person.\u00a0 A reasonable amount of photographic equipment is also allowed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Currency:<\/h2>\n

In Tanzania, the currency is the Tanzanian Shilling TZS. Visa and MasterCard are widely accepted, but American Express is not.\u00a0 US dollars printed after 2006 are also welcome.<\/p>\n

Insurance:<\/h2>\n

It is strongly advised that you take out fully comprehensive insurance including medical, injury, delays, loss and damage of property and death.\u00a0Sunny Safaris Ltd. will not be held responsible for any such claims.<\/p>\n

Please note:\u00a0Tickets of medical evacuation insurance are available on request.<\/p>\n

Liabilities:<\/h2>\n

All persons carried in the company\u2019s vehicles are governed by the respective laws of the land, and all claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Tanzania.<\/p>\n

Climate:<\/h2>\n

The temperature rarely falls below 20C\/68F except in the highlands. Heavy rainfalls in March-May and then again in November and December.<\/p>\n

Electricity\/Voltage:<\/h2>\n

In Tanzania, the voltage is 220-240 Volts (North American voltage is 110-120 Volts, so an adaptor is needed for North American devices).<\/b><\/p>\n

Safari Wear and Accessories:<\/h2>\n

Recommendations include lightweight cotton trousers and shirts, cotton bush jacket\/fleece, safari boots, hat, t-shirts, scarf, tissues, wipes, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, flashlight, travel alarm clock, and sunglasses.<\/p>\n

Mountain Wear and Accessories:<\/h2>\n

Recommendations include anorak, fleece, pants, short and long sleeved t-shirt, gloves, thermal underwear, hat,\u00a0balaclava\/woolen hat, walking boots, woolen socks, gaiters, crampons, sunglasses \/ snow goggles, thermal water bottle, headlamp,\u00a0walking pole, toiletries, chronograph wristwatch, sunscreen, lip salve,\u00a0Swiss army knife, hand towel,\u00a0four-season sleeping bag, day pack, \u00a0first aid kit and backpack cover.<\/p>\n
